The last two years was more amazing than we could have ever imagined! It was filled with selling all of our earthly belongings, moving to Europe with our two cats, Walter & Olive, 9 countries lived and countless cities explored. We wanted to say THANK YOU to all of the places and people who were part of making the past 2 years unforgettable! We would like to express our sincere gratitude in their language.

One perspective is that, beaches in the winter time are just piles of sand along the ocean. It can still be a beautiful place for a stroll. The sound of the waves can be just as relaxing. You can still hang out and get sand in your underwear, but don’t expect me to do any swimming in water that cold. Living in Lisbon was great, but it deserves another visit from us during a different time of year. A sunnier time of year. Don’t get me wrong, Lisbon still had a lot to offer but it was like eating a delicious cupcake and leaving the frosting. We don’t blame Lisbon. It was us.
We talked to the nice concierge at our hotel to see about booking a felucca ride on the Nile. He seemed to understand what we wanted instantly and in his friendly manner he made a phone call. He spoke in Egyptian for a while, no doubt extolling our virtues to the man on the other end of the phone, in a valiant attempt to solicit the best price possible for us. (If only there was a sarcasm font)
